If you are a farmer, an athlete or a professional who can
contribute to the cultural landscape of Canada, you can relocate
yourself to Canada under the Self- Employed Class of Business
Immigration to Canada.
As a farmer, you must have at least two years of experience in
farm management before you can become eligible to apply for
immigration to Canada. You must also have an intention and ability
to purchase and manage a farm in Canada and establish a farm
business that will, at a minimum, create an employment opportunity
for yourself.
No conditions are imposed on the visa and the whole family can
immigrate to Canada at the same time. The applicant is required to
make an application using the prescribed form to the Government of
Canada Immigration Office. The applicant has to include the
necessary visa fees and provide documentary evidence of farm
management and prove his intention and ability to purchase and
manage a farm in Canada.
On submission of the documents to the government, the applicant
will be called for an interview within a few months time. Once the
applicant has passed the interview, he/she will be required to
undergo medical and security clearance to prove that he and his
family members do not have any medical problems or criminal
record. On clearing both these requirements, the applicant and his
family will be issued an immigrant visa that allows them to reside
permanently in Canada.
Members of our firm will be speaking at the
International Bar
Association Annual Conference on 21st October 2002 at CCI
Center, Durban, South Africa, on Business Immigration to Canada.
